Youth Climate Ventures (YCV) is a youth-led initiative built around a simple belief: age shouldn't be a barrier to meaningful environmental action. We aim to connect creativity with opportunity by encouraging young people to design, lead, and grow climate projects in their own communities.

What is Youth Climate Ventures?

YCV is a youth-led climate initiative working to encourage, connect, and support young people who want to create meaningful environmental change. A key part of our vision is a micro-grant program for youth-led projects.

Who is the micro-grant program intended for?

The program is designed for young people under 19 who lead projects with a clear climate or environmental purpose. Detailed geographic and application eligibility will be published for each round.

Are applications open right now?

No future application date has been announced on this page. New dates, instructions, and confirmed funding details will be shared when the next program round is finalized. Email us if you have a question about upcoming opportunities.

How much funding could a project receive?

YCV's proposed award amounts are $300, $400, and $500 CAD. These are planned amounts rather than guaranteed grants, and any awards depend on available program funding and final selection requirements.

Can a business or organization partner with YCV?

Yes. We welcome conversations about sponsorship, mentorship, outreach, and collaborations that support youth climate action. Email youthclimateventures@gmail.com for program information and partnership discussions.

Is YCV a registered charity or nonprofit corporation?

YCV is currently an independent youth-led initiative, not a registered charity or incorporated nonprofit organization. We cannot issue official charitable donation receipts. We're happy to discuss our current organizational status with prospective partners.
